Accra, Ghana

We aim to provide speech and occupational therapy for children with neurological disorders whose families cannot afford it. We have partnered with the Head of Pediatrics at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital to help these children.

Section Title

Accra is the capital of Ghana, a country in Africa that does not recognize disabilities as a medical need. Thus, health insurance in Ghana does not cover speech and occupational therapy and families need to pay for it out of pocket. We decided to focus on helping lower income families pay for the therapies that their children desperately need.
