Our goal is to support the education of children from families affected by HIV/AIDS in Pangsha, a remote village located in Nagaland. We have partnered with a local women's organization to help the children and their families use education to break the vicious cycle of poverty.

FUNDRAISING IN THE
UNITED STATES

Our NGO, Friends of CABA, works to fundraise for our causes in the United States. We do this through hosting numerous fundraisers and receiving donations from generous donors.

OUR PARTNER GROUP

CABA is a local women's group dedicated to supporting children affected by AIDS in Nagaland. CABA visits Pangsha to determine which children need help and coordinate the education fee with the school.

THE CHILDREN AFFECTED BY AIDS

Various children in Pangsha have been affected by AIDS; some have parents who died from it or are HIV positive themselves. They deal with social stigma, a low income environment, and a lack of an education.

PROVIDING AN EDUCATION

The money fundraised goes to paying for the education of the identified children affected by AIDS in Nagaland. The money is used for tuition, schoolbooks, school supplies, uniforms, and more.

Nagaland is a state of two million people, mostly from tribal communities, situated in North-East India. Along with a high poverty rate, Nagaland is the state with the highest HIV prevalence rates in India. The village of Pangsha, which is on the border with Myanmar, is particularly affected. Therefore, our efforts are focused on helping the children in this village.

PROVIDING AN EDUCATION

As a result of corruption in the area, the public school in the village is never open because the teachers do not show up. Thus, we send the children to a nearby private school where they can receive an education. We are currently sponsoring the education of 19 children affected by AIDS in Nagaland.
